I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
